2025-26 Topps Basketball Preview
2025-26 basketball sees Topps' first officially licensed NBA card release since 2009. With Fanatics now handling NBA card licensing, this set aims to blend nostalgic design cues with modern hit structures and chases.
The base set spans 300 cards, covering top rookies, veterans, legends, and combo cards, but here are some of the main things to keep your eyes out for.
Notable Inserts And Cards to Chase
Expect to see sharp new inserts in this year’s release, including the Class of 2025 (1:3,583), which is a 20-card set spotlighting the rookie class, as well as Golden Mirror Image Variations, which are short-printed, golden versions of the base set (1:398).
In addition, the checklist includes a multitude of inserts with difficult pack odds worth chasing. Comic Court, Hardwood Stars, Home Court, and All Kings will be some of the most sought after, but some of the more notable inserts include:

Don’t sleep on memorabilia cards in this product. Leading up to launch Topps teased how patch cards would include actual, game-used material.

Lastly, while not his rookie cards, don’t forget that this release also includes Victor Wembanyama’s first Topps licensed autographed cards.

Cover athlete, Cooper Flagg, is the undeniable draw for the product, but this year also includes notable rookies, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, Kon Knueppel, V.J. Edgecomb, and Tre Johnson.
